H20 - Rabo Esports Stadium Visit
We had the privilege of visiting the H20 Event location - Tech Hub - Rabo Esports Stadium, Europe’s largest Esports and gaming-tech hub spanning over 12,000 m² of innovation!
Invited by Matthijs Vink (Founder, H20) and Nils Vermeire from Ga Toch Gamen, we met to exchange ideas on how gaming, neuroscience, and healthcare can come together in meaningful ways.
H20 is an amazing and impressive ecosystem — from the Esports Stadium and VR/AR labs, to sim-racing zones and startup spaces. It brings together players, developers, educators, and innovators under one roof to reimagine what gaming can do beyond entertainment.
At BrainBoostXR we continue to develop medical software focused on delivering cognitive experiences that reflect tasks we perform in daily life and decreasing social isolation… But gamification plays a key role in how we make our software more engaging to keep your brain fit while combatting loneliness.
Research shows that integrating game-based mechanics into therapy can boost adherence by up to 90% and reduce dropout rates by more than half compared to traditional rehabilitation.¹ ²
Seeing how H20 cultivates creativity, teamwork, and digital innovation made it clear how much these worlds overlap. The same principles that drive motivation in Esports — feedback, challenge, flow — are the ones that help patients stay committed in cognitive (and physical) recovery.
Excited to see where this collaboration leads — it feels like the start of something exciting and this is only the beginning!
